Welcome to the IYBA WE4A Community Forum
The IYBA WE4A Community Forum is a dedicated digital space created to connect and support women entrepreneurs in the green and greening sectors across Africa. It brings together women-led businesses and the ecosystem actors that support them to exchange knowledge, build partnerships, and accelerate climate-positive solutions on the continent.
As part of the Investing in Young Businesses in Africa – Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (IYBA WE4A) project, the forum aims to strengthen women entrepreneurs’ access to networks, knowledge, and finance, while supporting the growth of businesses that contribute to environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and inclusive economic development.
What the Community Forum Offers
The Community Forum provides a trusted space where participants can:
- Connect with women entrepreneurs leading green and greening businesses across African markets
- Exchange practical insights and experiences on developing, operating, and scaling climate-smart business models
- Engage in discussions on green innovation, sustainable technologies, and climate impact
- Learn from peers and ecosystem support organisations (ESOs) working in green entrepreneurship
- Share opportunities, including funding calls, technical assistance, trainings, and relevant events
- Build strong peer-to-peer networks that foster collaboration, mentorship, and long-term partnerships
A Trusted and Secure Space
To ensure meaningful, respectful, and open exchange, access to the Community Forum is limited to registered IYBA WE4A platform participants. This approach helps protect participants’ privacy and supports high-quality discussions, particularly around business operations, finance, and investment readiness.
Who Can Join the Community?
Participation in the forum is open to:
- Women entrepreneurs operating in the green and greening sectors in Africa
- Ecosystem support organisations (ESOs) supporting women-led green businesses
- Selected project partners and stakeholders engaged in climate action and women’s entrepreneurship
