Community Rules & Participation Guidelines

Welcome to the IYBA WE4A Community Forum. This space is designed to support respectful, constructive, and meaningful exchange among women entrepreneurs, ecosystem actors, and partners working in the green and greening sectors across Africa.

By participating in this forum, you agree to follow the guidelines below.

1. Respectful and Inclusive Engagement
   1. Treat all members with respect, professionalism, and courtesy.
   2. Value diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultural contexts.
   3.  Discriminatory, offensive, or abusive language will not be tolerated
2. Purpose-Driven Contributions
   1. Share content that is relevant to women-led green and greening businesses, climate solutions, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem development.
   2. Keep discussions constructive and aligned with the objectives of the IYBA WE4A programme.
   3. Avoid posting unrelated, promotional-only, or repetitive content.
3. Confidentiality and Privacy
   1. Do not share confidential, sensitive, or proprietary business information (your own or others’).
   2. Respect the privacy of fellow participants; do not share personal data outside the forum without consent.
   3. Content shared in closed discussions should remain within the community.
4. Responsible Use of Opportunities
   1. Funding opportunities, events, and calls shared should be relevant, credible, and transparent.
   2. Clearly state eligibility criteria, deadlines, and any costs involved.
   3. Misleading or fraudulent content will be removed.
5. No Solicitation or Spam
   1. The forum is not a marketing or sales platform.
   2. Excessive self-promotion, unsolicited offers, or spam content is not permitted.
   3. Collaboration requests should be framed respectfully and with clear intent.
6. Moderation and Governance
   1. Moderators are appointed by the IYBA WE4A programme team to support constructive dialogue.
   2. Moderators may edit, move, or remove content that does not comply with these guidelines.
   3. Repeated violations may result in restricted access or removal from the forum.
7. Use of Language and Content
   1. Use clear and respectful language.
   2. When possible, provide context to your questions or contributions to support meaningful discussion.
   3. Cite sources when sharing data, tools, or external resources.
8. Reporting and Support
   1. If you encounter inappropriate content or behavior, please report it to the moderators.
   2. For technical or access-related issues, contact the platform support team.
9. Compliance and Updates
   1. These guidelines may be updated periodically to reflect programme needs and platform development.
   2. Continued participation implies acceptance of any updated rules.
