An audio and video series to inspire, empower and connect women entrepreneurs in Senegal
As part of an awareness campaign led by SEW and the IYBA-SEED Senegal, the podcast series Parcours (Journeys) offers a journey into the intimate and powerful stories of Senegalese women who are entrepreneurs, innovators and transformers of their daily lives.
An immersive and authentic format
Each episode, lasting around 50 minutes, is designed as a ‘conversation between friends’ in a warm, informal setting chosen by the guest. Recorded in audio and filmed, the podcasts are available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Deezer, SoundCloud and YouTube.
Telling the story of various backgrounds
Parcours offers inspiring stories of women in the informal economy or undervalued professions who personify resilience in their daily lives. But also women who are breaking the mold by entering so-called male-dominated sectors, and well-known female entrepreneurs who share their entrepreneurial experiences.
A personalised and inclusive approach
Each guest chooses her own setting, shares her story and addresses the concrete realities of female entrepreneurship in Senegal. A wide range of topics will be covered, including ambition, financing, mental health, family management and imposter syndrome.... The series will also feature male voices committed to positive masculinity, who are essential allies for change.
Strong societal objectives
The ambition of Parcours is to:
- Create a space for intergenerational dialogue around women's equality and economic autonomy;
- Make female role models visible;
- Show that leadership has no gender;
- And inspire young women to become entrepreneurs.
Multimedia distribution and events to create a Parcours community
All episodes are in French, and broadcast on the @parcours_podcast accounts on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Deezer, SoundCloud and YouTube.
In addition, in-person events will nurture the community, create synergies and amplify the impact of the campaign throughout Senegal and across the African continent.
