On 4th November 2025, the social entrepreneurship community converged at Silver Springs Hotel, Kampala for the Kampala Impact Day 2025, an inspiring event organised by Einstein Rising, a core implementing partner of the WE4A Project under GIZ Uganda. The event re-anchored our collective effort around a simple principle: women are not beneficiaries of the green transition, they are builders of it.

As part of the day’s highlights, Sofian Dahmani from the European Union Delegration also delivered a compelling keynote speech that reaffirmed both EUD and GIZ’s unwavering commitment to strengthening SME enterprise development, unlocking growth opportunities, and enabling expanded access to finance for entrepreneurs across Uganda.
WE4A’s commitment to SME Growth cuts across championing:
- Capacity-building and tailored business development services,
- Investment readiness for women and youth-led enterprises,
- Ecosystem partnerships that unlock financing, markets, and long-term resilience.
In his remarks, he highlighted two on-going access to Finance opportunities introduced through catalytic financing avenues:
- Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneurship Programme: open until 25th January 2026, offering seed capital, mentorship, and business training for early-stage entrepreneurs across Africa. Apply: tefconnect.com

These opportunities generated enormous excitement among participants eager to advance their growth journeys.
A Day of Ideas, Networking, and Impact
The active participation and contributions made the discussions, masterclass, and networking sessions both engaging and practical, helped to shape concrete pathways for strengthening access to finance and market opportunities for women-led SMEs in Uganda. The energy and collaboration in the room reflected a shared commitment to building a more inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
