The Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) is advancing its mission to support women and youth entrepreneurs across Tanzania, with strategic backing from GIZ under the Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (WE4A) project. This partnership highlights GIZ’s commitment to strengthening local organizations as drivers of sustainable economic growth and inclusive entrepreneurship.
Building Capacity for Greater Impact
To enhance its service delivery and operational effectiveness, TWCC recently participated in the Regional Business Incubator Management Training, organized by the Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED). Held from 29 September to 2 October 2025 in Dar es Salaam, the training focused on key areas of incubator management, including governance, sustainability strategies, investment readiness, mentorship frameworks, and income diversification.
The project provided TWCC with critical knowledge and practical tools to better support women entrepreneurs, fostering resilience, innovation, and growth within their business networks.
Collaborative Learning and Knowledge Exchange
Participants from both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar attended the training, creating a dynamic environment for collaboration and peer learning. Sessions were led by expert trainers from the global, regional, and Tanzanian communities, offering insights and practical strategies for effective entrepreneurship support.
Driving Sustainable Outcomes
The skills gained will directly inform TWCC’s upcoming WE4A grant initiative, enabling the organization to enhance its services, implement sustainable practices, and deliver tailored support to women-led small and medium enterprises. This aligns with the broader goals of the Women Entrepreneurship for Africa program, promoting inclusive economic empowerment and enabling women entrepreneurs to thrive.
